United Way of Cullman County Stuff the Bus

United Way of Cullman County holds an annual school supply drive each year in July to ensure all students can start school with access to school supplies at no cost if needed. These supplies are stored at the City & County schools throughout the school year for students who need them.

 

United Way of Cullman County Little Free Library

United Way of Cullman County is the site of a Little Free Library, which is located on the front of our property, right beside Depot Park. The library gets tons of traffic from all the special events in the area. You can take a book & leave a book at the Little Free Library.

 

United Way of Cullman County Book Drive

United Way of Cullman County is holding it's 2nd Annual Book Drive May 11th-18th, 2024. We are asking for new or gently used children's books, to encourage reading during the summer. Books are distributed throughout various needed sites and partner agencies during summer programs.

 

United Way of Cullman County Education Task Force

United Way of Cullman County holds a monthly task force round table meeting for non-profits working in improving the lives of students and educational opportunities for those in Cullman County. The task force aims to get all our education agencies working towards reaching the same goals to move students in Cullman County forward.

 

4-H Club

United Way of Cullman County partners with the 4-H Club of Cullman, hosted by the Cullman County Extension Office. 4-H visits 4th grade students across Cullman County in almost every city and county school, as well as offers clubs in the areas of STEM, robotics, agriculture, and other areas to students of all ages.

 

Dolly Parton Imagination Library

United Way of Cullman County partners with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program hosted through the Cullman County Friends of the Library. The program ensures children 5 & under have books delivered to their homes monthly- free of charge- starting at birth. The program is a great way to ensure all our children in Cullman County have access to books!

 

Foster Grandparents

United Way of Cullman County partners with Foster Grandparents, a program of the Community Action Partnership of North Alabama. The program sends volunteer Grandparents into schools to offer mentoring, support, and tutoring for students who are struggling with grades or having a hard time.

 

Wallace State Community College Future Foundation

United Way of Cullman County partners with the Wallace State Community College Foundation to provide an endowed scholarship to Cullman County residents on an annual basis as part of our commitment to provide quality education for those who may not be able to attend college otherwise.
