United Way has established the COVID-19 Community Relief Fund to generate resources for Cullman County. This Community Relief Fund will assist our community in three areas:

  1. Provide Funding to support local food pantries and programs.
  2. Provide emergency financial assistance
  3. Fund distressed non profits

“Our community is blessed to have an intricate system of safety-net organization which sustain our community,” said Becky Goff, executive director, United Way of Cullman County.  “We want you to know that United Way supports the well-being of our entire community which makes us especially concerned for the impact this will have on the nonprofits who serve Cullman County.”

“United Way is working on long-term solutions and advocating for resources at the federal, state and local levels to respond to the issues we will face in the coming months,” Goff said.  “As demands increase for services, we expect that we will see funding, volunteers and other resources decline.”

We are asking the community to please donate what you can to help us provide for the organizations that are on the front line of relief efforts. Specific details will be available in the coming days on how to apply and receive assistance.
